Health Promotion
Health checks include
- NHS health check (for ages 40 to 74): more information is available under NHS Health Check.
- Annual learning disability health check (for ages over 14)
Screening
Disease prevention – screening
- Cervical cytology: Support with cervical screening includes information and a helpline to help with having a smear. This also includes when and how you will be invited for cervical screening.
- Child health surveillance with the support of our local health visiting team.
Smear Results
Smear test results take 6-8 weeks on average and are posted out to patients.
Long-term Conditions
Common long-term conditions include:
- Asthma
- COPD
- Diabetes
- Hypertension (high blood pressure)
- Coronary heart disease
- Heart failure
- Stroke and TIAs
- Epilepsy
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Chronic kidney disease
- Hypothyroidism

Contraception
Coil / implant contraceptive devices at the surgery
Please see a GP first for contraceptive counselling, and then you will be able to book an appointment for the fitting of the coil/ implant contraceptive device.

Baby Clinics
Baby clinics for well children with the Health Visitor are held at:
- Farnham Common Library on Wednesday morning
